New Year’s greeting – photographs from “Flames of Christmas Ice”

Just before New Year I had an opportunity to photograph one of the traditional figure skating performances in Lithuania, “Flames of Christmas Ice” (“Liepsnojantis Kalėdų ledas”). I came in as a photographer and left as a deeply impressed spectator. Siauliai Arena packed with people, rich light and fire effects were backed with the incredible masterhood of figure skating giants, including the legendary Lithuanian couple Povilas Vanagas and Margarita Drobiazko and their numerous guests from all over the world. The guest dancers were mostly World and European champions of figure skating and a few of very bright beginners.
