Portrait of Kražiai
I started to work on “Portrait of Kražiai”, a documentary project about a historical village of Kražiai in 2001 and spent most of the year 2002 on creating the main body of work. I still keep on taking pictures in the village, when I find myself in there.
From spring 2003, exhibitions of “Portrait of Kražiai” were shown in Lithuania – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys, Kupiškis, Druskininkai, Kražiai. The work has been widely exhibited abroad – in Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, China, Australia. In the end of 2009 album “Kražių portretas / Portrait of Kražiai” was published by Šviesos raštas (Kaunas, Lithuania).
