Portfolio reviews Vienna

On November 26-27, 2010 I was reviewing photographers’ works in Vienna, Austria. In the group of international experts I was reviewing works of mostly photographers from Austria and neighbouring countries. The portfolio reviews, a part of Month of Photography in Vienna (Eyes On), organized by Anika Haldelt Galerie, were taking place in Kalsplatz art project centre, a nice piece of contemporary architecture next to the legendary “Secession building”.

This was my first revue in the Austrian capital, but I was amazed by the high level of works presented. And finally, I got the long- awaited gift from Reiner Riedler – his “Fake Holidays” book.  My first acquaintance with contemporary Austrian photography started when Reiner Riedler became the KAUNAS PHOTO 07 award winner and came to Kaunas for one of his first “Fake Holidays” exhibitions in September 2007.
