Viana do Castelo. Portugal. Santa Maria Maior church on the mount and a photograph of a group of photo curators dried in the sun. 2010

Next to this magnificent church, since forever, as locals said, there has been a photographer offering visitors a service that now seems pretty strange. We, a group of photo curators, arriving from Braga festival, asked the colleague for this service. Using a view camera he takes pictures on paper, then, after developing the sheet he reproduces the negative on paper again, and the photograph is in hand in 5 minutes. Maybe a minute more is needed to dry the proof of memory. Today it sounds strange that a photo needs to be dried… But on the other hand, the waiting and the boiling emotions had nothing to do with the dryness of a digital shot :)
