On the day of Restitution of Lithuania’s Indepencence, March 11, this picture will pretend to belong to the “VW LT: Views of Welcome in Lithuania” series. While this image does not properly suit the series due to its typology (by being a monument, and not the indication of the place), it represents a monument to the 1000 years since the first mention of Lithuania in the historical sources. The shot was made in walking range from one of the Views of Welcome, at edge of Kudirkos Naumiestis, published earlier in the blog flow – Vilkaviškis district, featuring the moon.
