Wish you fast recovery, Arvydas! And long live the hobby of photography

News about the health cisis of the most famous Lithuania basketball personality, Arvydas Sabonis, resonated internationally. For me personally, it was a hint to think about the crazy speed and rythm and pressure under which we live on the daily basis. My blog, which has been silent for a month or so was not because I had nothing to show or share, but because of the rush of KAUNAS PHOTO festival events and photo shootings in between, etc. Doing, doing & overdoing might turn into a health disaster…

Several times this year I had opportunities to meet Arvydas Sabonis, while doing photoshoots with him / about him. Having visited him in Palanga, I discovered a nice thing that makes the basketball star happy – photography.  One of the portraits I was doing with him holding my “toy camera”, was not only an easy shot for me, but also an inspirational moment for him, who managed to do some quite nice landscape shots. So, if I turnt all that into a wish for Sabonis – fast recovery + friendship with photography!
