Water in a Finnish way
Picture of the day: Water, ripple, reflections, swimmer.
Almost a century ago after the picture of Andre Kertsz of the swimmer, that changed his own and the world of photography, water is still magically attracting photographers. While noticing these ripples in a pool in Finland, I understood its importance in the country. They should have been a source of inspiration for designers and architects during the past century. What else, if not ephemeric water shapes could compare to, for example, famous Iitala vases, based on drafts of Alvaro Aalto?..
