It’s been several years now that I occasionally take pictures of what I see around me while air-travelling. The changes that happen around the airlines were very rapid.<\/p>\n

Ten years ago flying was a world of luxury, at least for us in the Central & Eastern Europe. Now it is part of banality of life and the part of our consumetist menu, which we use as willingly as we speak about its cheapness. So let the pic of the day today be not one but two images.<\/p>\n

Impossible not to notice are lines in the news about the bankrupcy of the “AA”. I have not flown much with them, but the retro look of the aiplanes always seemed attractive to me. Through one of my shots (above), I discovered that “American Airlines” read partly givesan embedded “Ican”, which seems like a halfway between President Obama’s campaign key phrase and the epidemic of the “i”. Hopefully, it does not mean anything “alucan” related, and the “can” possibility stands for change in strategy in order to keep flying further.<\/p>\n

Closer to Lithuania, another story is being written. The government of Latvia is about to take hold over the total package of shares to be able to save the AirBaltic company. Besides being the largest airline in the Baltic states, AirBaltic has been keeping that touch of style, which allowed to feel like “i’d fly with them again” :)<\/p>\n
