“Portrait of Kražiai. The Return” – exhibition in Plungė

On Wednesday, March 22 d., Public library of Plungė (a town in Western Lithuania, Parko str. 7) opens an exhibition „Portrait of Kražiai. The Return” in presence of the author Mindaugas Kavaliauskas. The exhibition will be on display until April 28, 2017.

The exhibition is a retrospective look at the fifteen years of the exhistence of the “Portrait of Kražiai” project, structured into topics prompted by the primary importance of places, people, rituals, phenomena. The topics were chosen by the artist himself, based not only on his personal impressions, but on echoes of media, art curators, editors, whose choices made certain subjects appear more often than others, such as Juzefa, The College building, Pigs, Swimming, Festivities, etc.
